Cesar Rescue Program

Mission - Saving lives! This could be the perfect time to open your heart and home to a wonderful dog. If you’re considering a puppy or adult dog, Cesar asks that you become a Pack Leader by adopting a dog from a shelter or rescue group. When you adopt a dog you save a life, and virtually any type of dog that you could want is available for adoption at shelters and rescues across the country. Getting a dog is a big commitment, so if now is not the right time, consider a family IOU until you can all
agree on the perfect timing to find your new best friend. And then, please adopt!

Goals - Our goal is to keep and place dogs in good homes and keep them out of rescues and shelters. Through the Sessions
with Cesar course, we want to help as many dog owners as possible – new and existing rescue dog adopters, owners whose
dogs have behavior issues and others who just want to understand their dog better to prevent behavior problems developing or escalating.

Benefits - With support from the course, the Sessions with Cesar Team is committed to helping rescues and shelters in their efforts to rehabilitate and place rescue dogs in homes and help make these adoptions successful. We want to encourage new rescue dog guardians to best prepare for dog ownership and get coaching help as they raise and live with their dog, so they
can be the best dog parents and Pack Leaders possible. Participating rescues and shelters will be able to pass on discounts
to adopters as well as receive a donation for every adopter signing up for the course through their groups' efforts.

The Cesar and Ilusion Milan Foundation actively supports no-kill shelters and is pleased to work with participating rescues and shelters. Click here to find out more about the Foundation.

The North Shore Animal League America is the world’s largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization, adopting nearly 20,000 pets into permanent homes each year. Since inception, the Animal League has adopted close to 1 million puppies, kittens, cats and dogs into carefully screened homes. The Animal League’s rescue efforts include a national emergency rescue team - one of the first animal rescue agencies on the ground in the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita that rescued more than 1,600 pets from the region. The rescue team responds to many other types of rescues, including puppy mill seizures. The Animal League’s Alex Lewyt Veterinary Medical Center provides 24-hour care for sheltered pets, handles 10,000 outpatient visits and more than 14,000 free spay/neuter procedures annually.
