Commentary: Michael Vick, dog fighting and the ASPCA
by Tami Cook

I would like to say that Mr. Michael Vick is a dispassionate, cruel and cold-hearted individual. Why? Who in their right mind would fight dogs, and when they wouldn't fight, drown or hang them and watch them die? How does he sleep at night? I don't know too much about the ASPCA I realize, but this is unacceptable.

I believe he is setting a very bad example for our future athletes, younger viewers of sports, and also for the sport of football itself. It's bad enough when sports figures are brought up on drug charges and it's on the news, they are made to pay a fine and suspended for x-number of games and it's all OK. But the killing of another creature...that is unacceptable, I don't care if you're not a dog fan or not. God made and only God can take life according to the Bible but enough on that, it's just plain cruel and a bad example. And this cruelty is not just with him. There have been other sports figures caught fighting as well, and some are from my home state! I'm shocked that this kind of thing is so rampant, and publicized on the news in all its shocking "glory"! I feel sorry for the dogs, and for the sports teams that these sociopaths play on.

I don't believe Michael Vick should ever be allowed to endorse any future products, I don't believe he should be hired for any team or sport, I believe he should be put in jail for what he has done, he can't possibly "not know what went on" (according to my Grandma he said he didn't know what had happened, uh-huh, sure he didn't.) at his own home. This is just my own opinion. As I said earlier, I don't know too much about the ASPCA I admit, but I know it's not right the way this shocking crime is going on.
